"CARLITA"  TYPE POTATOES

TUBERS: Round-oval shape, rather shallow eyes, yellow skin, light yellow flesh, very early tuber development, very good yield and bulky size.
FOLIAGE: Good developing type. Somewhat open foliage, but covers well. For an early variety the foliage covers the soil for quite a long time. White flowers, some berries.
DISEASES: Resistant to potato cyst nematodes (Ro. 1 and 4). Immune to wart disease. Fairly resistant to leaf blight and good resistance to tuber blight. Fairly resistant to common scab. Hardly susceptible to leaf roll virus. Rather susceptible to Yn-virus.
QUALITY: Low dry matter content, cooking type AB. No discoloration after cooking.
GENERAL: Can be lifted early. Suitable for all soil types. Good resistance to internal bruising and slight susceptibility to mechanical damage. Stores well. Suitable for table potatoes in Southern Europe
